In April 2025, an engaged group of urban cyclists gathered to get a pulse on the collective urban rider experience in Fredericton and how it can be better.
Over 60 bike commuters responded to a lengthy survey. Civic Tech generously analyzed and designed our results. Discover them here:
Action
A call for collaboration with the City of Fredericton resounded amidst the valuable user feedback gathered in the survey.
We prepared a proposal for an Active Transportation Advisory Committee hosted by the City of Fredericton. This committee would allow discourse between city decision-makers and diverse active transportation stakeholders such as cyclists, walkers, persons with disabilities, youth, the elderly, and other experts in the field, ensuring that the needs of active commuters are integrated in city design.
Our goal is that people of all ages and abilities be able to safely and efficiently navigate the city without needing to be behind the wheel of a car.
