  • Mobility Committee passes motion to pursue Active Transportation Advisory Committee in Fredericton

    Last week, Fredericton’s Mobility Committee voted unanimously in favour of a motion directing staff to create an administrative report on the establishment of an Active Transportation Advisory Committee in Fredericton. We couldn’t be happier with this result.

    We are grateful to everyone who has supported this initiative so far, including the organizations who offered formal words of support, folks who completed our survey to validate grassroots engagement, and all the active commuters who have joined us at Breakfast on the Bridge to celebrate self-propelling ourselves around Fredericton.

    After two years of research, community-building and stakeholder advocacy, our big moment is booked! Marie Eve and Jennifer will present their proposal to create an Active Transportation Advisory Committee to the Fredericton Mobility Committee on October 22, 12 pm.

    Fredericton Urban Cyclists, this is your moment to ensure your commuter perspective is integrated in the future design of our communities. Come make yourself visible with helmet in hand!
